SUPPORT MANAGER
Sunburst, an educational software solutions and services company, is seeking a Sales-centric Customer Tech Support Manager. This is a professional/managerial level position that includes significant roles in sales operations & technology support coordination for our corporate office in Chicago, IL.
This full-time position works directly with K-12 School Teachers, Educators, and Administrators as well as our Sales Representatives, Education Consultants, Technology Specialists, and Management to provide outstanding pre and post sale customer technical and instructional support. Such activities include direct phone support of K-12 teachers and instructional techology support specialists for product usage, product installation, and troubleshooting issues on computer hardware.
Job Responsibilities
- Proficiency in professional instructional technology support and service delivery, telephone etiquette, product knowledge and service perfomance metrics
- Ability to quickly establish rapport and trust over the telephone with a wide variety of constituents
- Successfully address escalated customer issues both from teacher end users to instructional technology support personnel up to district technology directors
- Schedule and coordinate professional development contractors, education consultants, and collateral resources for professional development and product support sessions around the US
- Conduct and/or coordinate scheduling of software technology product installations/implementations
- CRM administration, including cases, RMA, support ticket Administration-ability to initiate, lead, and implement process improvements
- Preparation and dissemination of materials to customers, such as FAQ, Quickstart guides, trouble shooting, tips and tricks, practical uses and professional development sessions, such as participant packages, handouts, and other materials
- Assist with determining session needs such as content needs, participant mix, logistics, attendance, site location, A/V eqipment
- Work closely with management and Sales Representatives to ensure information necessary for executing and delivering a superior customer service experience is clear, timely, and complete
- Obtain, compile, and enter customer experience data, such as surveys, comments, testimonials, and case studies
- Pre and post sale customer contact via phone and email, such as call campaigns
- Handle initial product user support inquiries and help line
- Coordinate Pilots and Case Studies with prospective customers
- Assist in district and school market research and needs analysis
- Generate management service and support reports
- Maintain supplemental opportunity and customer data in CRM, Support Ticket database
- Provide support to customer order processing
Minimum Requirements
-College Degree from accredited university (Business major a plus)
-Five or more years technology experience with Windows, Apple environments, Help Desk, Windows servers, related operating systems
-Three or more years K-12 education experience, technology instructional support a big plus
-A passion for solving customer end issues
-CRM system knowledge
-Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
-Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills
-High level of integrity, ethical behavior, and professional maturity
-Detail and process oriented
-Superb communication skills

Opportunity: Mobilizing a team of education sales specialists with proven experience in a success-oriented inside sales organization offering digital content solutions to schools.
Description: Engage in phone based sales activities to provide schools with the opportunity to purchase meaningfully relevant digital content solutions designed for 21st century classroom environments. The team will work closely with digital content providers in a range of territories providing customers with solutions and expertise about the products. Team members will utilize modern technology marketing, sales, and fulfillment tools together with a professional management atmosphere. Located in the Schaumburg area, this position includes base salary plus commission and benefits.
