Lesson Resources
Each lessons includes one or more of the following documents: a complete lesson plan, grading rubric, activity instructions, activity data (if required by the lesson), and an example of the completed student activity. All lesson resources are in PDF format and can be downloaded to the teacher’s computer and /or printed.

Lesson Plan
The lesson plan contains the follow information: An overview of the lesson, Lesson and Student Activity Details, Extension Activities, Multiple Intelligences, answers to the end of lesson assessment, answers to the game questions, either the English Language Arts Standards from the National Council of Teachers of English or the Math Standards from the National Council of Teachers of Math, the NETS Technology Foundation Standards for Students, and the NETS Performance indicators. The state academic standards alignments are online in the Teacher Management Area.

Rubric
This document provides an easy way for the instructor and the student to evaluate the student work in the lesson.

Activity Instructions
This document provides the step-by-step instructions for the student activity. This is also accessible by the student as part of the lesson content.

Activity Data
If required by the activity this document shows the data that the students will be copying and pasting into the activity. This is also accessible by the student as part of the lesson content.

Activity Example
This document provides the teacher with an example of how the finished student activity should look.

The Kto8 Curriculum has over 600 lessons. These lessons are organized into two types of lessons: Integrated and Cross-Curricular.

Integrated Lessons
These lessons teach a technology skill and apply it to an integrated grade-level academic objective. In these lessons the academic setting is introduced and then the technology skill is taught. Examples of these lessons (with the technology skill taught) are:

3rd Grade – Measuring Liquids (Excel calculations and the Google conversion tool)
5th Grade – Write a Short Paragraph with Main Idea (change paragraph format, indent, and insert a picture in Microsoft Word).
8th Grade – Decoding Words (animated PowerPoint word diagrams)
Each of these lessons has a quiz that covers the main points of the lesson’s academic objective.

Cross-Curricular Lessons
These lessons teach a technology skill but do not have an integrated academic objective. Examples of these lessons are:

• Microsoft Word (levels 1 through 10)
• Excel (levels 1 through 5)
• PowerPoint (levels 1 through 7)
• Advanced Internet Searching
• HTML Basics
